Simply post a quick message here or ask a blogfriend to post a message here on your behalf. Remember to "tag" your message with your user name.
There is absolutely no need to explain why.
It maybe that you simply need to reduce the size of your friends' list but don't want to upset anyone. Why not post a message here letting everyone know? Once again remember to "tag" your message with your username.
On the other hand, if one of your friends is "missing" simply check for their names in the "tags" list on the right and click to read their message. Where appropriate, you can also leave them a "goodbye" comment.

I do hope that we can all get the message across to at least our own blogfriends. It could be a very useful communication resource.
People can still go cold turkey without leaving such an aftermath that we've all recently experienced.
It's taken me the best part of the day to get it this far I hope it will work.

It should stay as a "visitor" post. Most people will probably sign off with their user name but by including the user name as a "tag" the blogger can be identified.
We've already had some success so I hope people will use the facility to keep the community spirit going. -

A great idea - it is so upsetting when people delete their profiles without saying anything. It's bad enough when they delete their blogs or go AWOL without warning.

I would never just disappear after making so many lovely friends here...I don't think many people who are regular bloggers would either, so this is a nice idea but would also leave a post on my own blog too if I did decide to pull out of BCUK altogether...it's working at the moment with minor hiccups so am still giving it a chance...LOL...big hugs....XX

Sorry, Marian...very sad to lose Wendlane today so not concentrating properly...it's such a shame to lose somebody because of poor service and what looks like seriously bad mishandling of her blog by BCUK...just so annoyed that this has happened...it's okay when somebody feels they've had enough of blogging for a while and decides to take a break, but to be forced to leave because the host is messing everything up for you isn't good...big hugs...XX

I know I've just been catching up on Wendlane - it's dreadful what has happened to her. BCUK have a lot to answer for!
I think everyone has been so patient with them for weeks now. I got shouted down (by other bloggers)for complaining the other week.

I think it was only AJSpencer wasn't it who got uppity about non techies being so impatient...the rest of us were fully on your side...mind you I've had a go at them as well all to no avail...LOL...they don't seem to either hear us or they're very good at ignoring us...not sure which...Our future I fear is not going to be very satisfactory if the level of computer programming is what it is now and everything gets more complex by the day...we're all going to be disappearing up our butts in no time...HLOL...big hugs...

Yes, so do I, and I can do the techie stuff myself here at home if I want to, but come here to communicate with other people and just have a laugh...when it gets to the point of really annoying you because it keeps going wrong, you do wonder why you bother....big hugs...

I agree, it costs nothing to be kind! it is a bit disconcerting when a person's blog just dissapears. Much better if they go less quietly so to speak. Fear not, if I ever decide to trash my blog, I won't forget to say "adios amigos".

I think this is a nice idea. I know some people make their break best by just going cold turkey but some have formed strong relationships with each other and I don't know about others but I miss them terribly and worry about their wellbeing.
